Weeks, Kabale district recorded over 65 Positive cases of COVID 19 according to Dr. Paddy Mwesigye, the assistant Kabale district health officer in charge of maternal health.
Speaking to our reporter, Paddy said that within a period of two weeks, 311 people in Kabale district tested positive for COVID 19, 70 are in hospital, 246 receiving home-based care services and 15 are on Oxygen cylinders.
Paddy urged the public to avoid overcrowding, burial events, stay in their homes, and observe standard operating procedures if they are to prevent coronavirus.
Darius Nandinda, the Kabale resident district commissioner expressed a concern about COVID-19 home based care patients stressing that patients are not observing SOPs posing an increase the covid-19 cases.
He further cautioned business owners who don’t have handwashing facilities to do so if they don’t what their businesses to be closed
