Rukungiri district council yesterday released the proposed budget estimates for the financial year 2022/2023 amounting to 43,405,273,358/= to be passed early next year
The estimated were revealed in a budget conference held at Riverside Hotel conference Hall in Rukungiri Municipality.
The district expects 36,976,443,483/= as conditional grant, 4,638,059,639/= as government transfers, 810,770,236/= and 980,000,000/= from Donors to fulfill the set priorities largely based on Roads, Agricultural inputs and advisory, health and Education among others.
The Chairperson LC5 Rukungiri district Geoffrey Kyomukama warned councilors and civil servants against corruption and advised them to work selflessly as a team.
The CAO Rukungiri Elias Byamungu advised the civil servants to free their services from political divisions.
Byamungu noted that he and colleagues are Public servants who are mandated and held responsible for effective service delivery and stability
The conference was attended by chairperson LC3’S, Senior Assistant secretaries/Sub County chiefs, district heads of departments, district councilors, NGO’S, Business Community among others.
